Datacenter - Cloud Computing

Rather than having a downsizing effect, virtualization drives Data Center growth.  The emergence of applications such as YouTube, iTunes, Skype and Facebook has created both a data explosion and an applications explosion that are increasing demand for capacity, performance and content delivery at the Data Center and Cloud Computing services providers.

The next area to consider is growth in clients used to access data center resources. Traditional desktops and laptops are being augmented and sometimes replaced by an array of devices ranging from smart phones, tablets to thin clients. Even cars and airplanes have the capability of surfing the web, adding load to networks, servers, and storage that didn’t exist in the past.
